This is how you can donate to CONFIDENCIAL on YouTube

As of Sunday, September 4, 2022, the audience of Esta Semana is able to financially support CONFIDENCIAL's independent journalism through two tools that we have enabled on ConfidencialNica, our YouTube channel. This can be done through Super Chat and Super Thanks. 

With the support of our audience, CONFIDENCIAL ensures that access to its journalistic content remains open and free for all people, without paywalls, at a key moment in the history of Nicaragua.

How to donate with Super Chat and Super Thanks

During the transmissions of Esta Semana (Sundays), Esta Noche (Wednesdays), and Confidencial Radio (Fridays), users will have the opportunity to send donations through the live comments section (Super Chat). 

By indicating the amount they wish to contribute and making the payment, their comment will have a prominent position within the conversation. In addition, in the case of Confidencial Radio, the greetings or comments on the coverage will be read live.

On the other hand, those who wish to send an economic contribution without being featured in the live chat will be able to do so with Super Thanks. All you have to do is click on the heart icon in the bottom bar of the video, indicate the amount of your choice, and make the donation.

This option has also been enabled for our special reports and pre-recorded segments: La Última Mirada News, with Juan Carlos Ampié; Noti Miér-coles, with Elmer Rivas; Caricatura Animada, with PxMolina; Los Clásicos, El Reporte, among others. 

Confidencial Nica, a growing channel on YouTube

Since the regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo censored the programs Esta Semana and Esta Noche on Nicaraguan television, in January 2019 -violating the right to freedom of the press and dissemination of information- digital platforms such as our YouTube channel ConfidencialNica and our Facebook page have been fundamental to defeat government censorship and report on the outrages that the State commits against the Nicaraguan citizenry. 

Despite the siege and exile, our newsroom does independent journalism backed by an audience that has grown exponentially on YouTube in the last three years, now reaching 384,000 subscribers.

CONFIDENCIAL also has a Membership Program, through which readers guarantee free and open access to the journalistic content of the media and its sustainability. YouTube Super Chat and Super Thanks are new ways to strengthen this support.
